The Rock

This app re-introduces time as a physical concept in technology. Inspired by ancient ritual heritage sites, it is used for personal reflection time.

Modern life has reduced time to a functional measurement. Sites such as Stonehenge are examples where time is tangible; mapped using the landscape and position of the sun.

Much like the placement of an ancient standing stone, the user sets a geo-coordinate in a location significant to them — “the rock”. When the user is aligned with the rock and sun, they are offered a time for reflection. Calendars are generated for rare occurrences. This connects time and location in a personal, meaningful way.
